19TH October 1923, the Vijayadashmi Day, marks the beginning of the glorious history of our DTEA Schools.

Madarasi Education Association, which is known as DTEA today was started with one teacher and one student at Shimla more than seventy seven years back today stands high aloft with seven senior secondary schools under one management, imparting education of the highest degree at lowest cost to more than 8000 children with a staff numbering 450. This institution has produced brilliant Educationist, Scholars, Scientists and Engineers, Medical and Judicial luminaries, able Administrators and Defence Personnel who still cherish fond memories of their alma mater. The Governing Body duly constituted by more than 5000 parent members through election once in two years did runs seven branches in a highly commendable democratic manner. All the 7 schools are recognized by the Education Department of Government of Delhi and are affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.

The DTEA Senior Secondary School, Pusa Road is an outstanding member of the DTEA family. Established on 16.7.1953 as a Primary School, it was upgraded to Middle level in 1960. In 1963 it became a Higher Secondary School and then a Senior Secondary School. This school has completed more than 4a7 years of remarkable contribution in the field of Education. Known for its discipline and total concern for its students it has made an indelible imprint on the society. This school with a staff of over 50 teachers and nearly 1200 students is one great pillar of this mighty edifice: the DTEA. The school offers courses in Science, Commerce and Arts and the introduction of the House System encourages active participation of the children in different activities to promote their all round development. Children from different parts of our country, speaking different languages, belonging to different communities and religion are studying in our schools symbolizing the spirit of National Integration.
